Registration Now Open for the 2017 Hakka Language Certification Examination (Basic Level)
Beginning today, individuals are invited to register for the "2017 Hakka Language Certification Examination"! The exam will be held on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 10, 2017 in fifteen counties and cities located throughout Taiwan. Members of the public are welcome to select either day to take the exam, and no special qualifications are required to sign up. In addition, to encourage more people to learn the Hakka language and obtain certification, the document processing fee will not be required this year, and the exam registration fee will also be automatically waived for individuals aged 19 and under. Everyone with an interest in Hakka language is cordially invited to register and take the exam.
From today until July 10, interested individuals are invited to visit the official "2017 Hakka Language Certification Examination" website (http://abst.sce.ntnu.edu.tw/106hakka_exam) to download a free exam prospectus and register to take the exam. The basic level of the Hakka Language Certification Examination is divided into three main sections: listening, speaking, and reading. The maximum score is 100 points. Examinees who obtain a total score of 70 or higher and do not score 0 in any of the three sections will be conferred an official "Certificate of Basic Proficiency".
